I saw a quite a many threads, where newer webmaster wanted to know the difference between different kinds of server available to them for hosting their websites.
So I just thought of covering that topic in a quick blog post.
When you are looking for a web host, you will come across three option of web servers that you can rent.
This would be a shared, virtual dedicated and a dedicated server.
The kind of server that you choose will depend on the kind of site that you are building.
Let me explain the meaning of each server type to help you understand that further.

Since we will be discussing many online marketing concepts and programs, I though it best to start from
the basics and cover a few terms that we hear and read quite often in discussions among webmaster peers.
I hope to develop a comprehensive Internet Marketing Glossary that will explain most of the possible jargons that we use in and around the online sphere of web marketers.
If you would like to correct me or would like to contribute in building this Glossary then please do not hesitate to contact me.
In this post I will cover some of the terms that we most frequently come across and I will keep adding new ones on my Glossary page.
Hope this is useful to all and especially the newer webmasters who are on the path of learning the tricks of the trade, that includes me too.
Let’s start with a few things you will see when you login to your Google Adsense account.
Impressions/Page Impressions: This is the number of times a particular website is viewed in the browser.
Clicks/Ad Clicks: The number of time the ads have been clicked by the website visitors.
CTR/ Page CTR (Click Trough Rate): The percentage of visitors that have clicked on an advertisement. Say for example a website receives 100 visitors out of which one of the visior clicks an ad, so the CTR would be 1%.
CPM/Page eCPM (cost per thousand, the letter “M” in the abbreviation is the Roman numeral for one thousand): The cost incurred for displaying an advertisement for a 1000 times. As a ad publisher the higher the figure, the more you earn.
Hits/Visits: This usually refers to the number of times your webpage is viewed or accessed in a web browser.
