Blogrolled

This was due for sometime and I was wondering why it was not introduced before.

Today I just signed up for a new program that enables blogger to make some extra money via renting their blogroll.

Blogrolled

There are similar programs, TLA and sorts but this network is specifically for blog owners and with more advertisers looking at blogs as the best medium for advertising, this will definitely catch up.

With Blogrolled you can make use of your blogroll inventory and rent it to make some extra cash effortlessly. Once an advertiser purchases a link on your blog, if you accept the offer you would need to place the advertiser’s link in your blogroll and are now you are all set for a monthly payment as long as the advertiser’s link is placed on your blogroll.

There is no limit to the number of blogs you can submit within the network, but you should have no more than 10 links  on your blogroll. So ideally keep your blogroll links below 10 before submitting your blogs for approval.

I will be submitting a few of my blogs too and hope some advertiser finds them worthy enough to place their text link ads.

This is a very new network, so it might be a while before you see any offer.

Rob has just announced a new affiliate program for his popular blog directory Bloggeries.

Now this is good news for all webmasters as firstly this is one of the best blog directories around and also because of the hefty affiliate pay package.

Talking beyond pagerank (PR 6), Bloggeries has been able to establish itself as a reliable blogger resource and overtime has garnered much respect within the blogging community, mainly because of hosting one of the best blogging forums.

Rob announced the compensation plan to all the Bloggeries members and they are more than impressive.

The submission charge at Bloggeries is $ 49.99 for an annual featured listing and only $ 34.99 for a permanent link.

Considering the popularity of the directory, these would be fair prices.

The 2 tier affiliate commission offered by Rob is as such:

$20US for each approved / paid blog directory submission you send

$5US for each approved / paid directory listing that someone who you referred sends us.

So one can make upto $25 for each paid submission that one sends.

I would recommend this program to all webmaster and if you are interested in signing up, you could consider using my referral link.

Chitika: Not just products anymore

Filed under: CPM Programs, Cash Cow — Tags: , , — kiviniar
13 May

I just love this year.

Every ad vendor is coming up with better performing ads and making money is a whole lot easier for website publishes. In just a couple of months I have tested some great display ad options and well my site income has seen atleast a 35% increment with these new ad options.

The latest being Chitika.

I have been with Chitika for sometime now. They provide product units as ad options and pay on CPC basis.

I am happy with the network but the only problem in maximizing these ad units was that in my niche not every site visitor was looking for something to buy (p.s.These units work best of tech blogs, gadget, product reviews, etc).

But just got this great news from Chitika. Chitika has just released their first non product based unit that is integrated in the new Chitika premium ad units.

So basically instead of just seeing shopping ads, you will actually get non product ads.

However, before you use this ad option remember that you should only consider using them if you have a considerable traffic coming from the U.S.

A little info on Chitika Premium from the Official Chitika Blog :

What is this? A smart, personalized targeting ad solution that provides premium content. This ad unit is CPC and is designed to be your highest performing ad unit (eCPM).

Who should use this ad unit? Chitika | Premium ads are a great fit for any website with any type of content including finance, travel, sports, etc. If your website gets a lot of U.S. traffic, then Chitika | Premium ads are a perfect match for you.

When will this ad unit display on my site? Chitika | Premium ads will only show to U.S. traffic, and since they are behaviorally targeted they will only display to SOME U.S. users. When your Premium ad unit does display for a visitor it will show them advertisements they are interested in (because, after all, it’s behaviorally targeted).

What happens when Chitika | Premium does not display? The ad simply collapses into nothing. You can show an alternate URL in it’s place.

So how do you preview this ad unit?

You can preview in 3 steps:
1. Paste the code up on your site.
2. In your address bar add
#chitikatest=mortgage to the end of your page URL.
3. Press ENTER then Ctrl + R to refresh your page.

This will show you what the ad would look like to a user who is interested in “mortgages.” You can replace “mortgages” with your keywords to view other ads, just make sure you then REPEAT STEP 3.

Signup for Chitika

Update: Just a question that I asked support

Can Chitika Premium be used along with Google Adsense?

* Since the release of our flagship ad unit eMiniMalls, Chitika has always provided products and services you can use in conjunction with other services. Thats right - we have no restrictions for using Chitika products with any other revenue-earning ad units on your website.

We’ve received many questions from users asking if Chitika | Premium can be used alongside Google Adsense on their pages. Chitika | Premium is not a text-ad; it’s an interactive, image-enabled widget that is non-contextual and behaviorally targeted. Because of this, you should be able to use both ad units on your page together without being in violation.

Review: Smorty

Filed under: Cash Cow, Paid Blogging — Tags: , , , — kiviniar
16 Feb

Blog Advertising - Get Paid to BlogThis is another one of the blog advertising networks where bloggers can earn some money by reviewing their favorite products and services.

Smorty is one of the few paid blogging networks that I have worked with and would like to share my experiences and observations that I have made in due course of time.

Smorty might not be as popular as some other paid blogging networks but can provide one with a decent number of opportunities in paid reviews.

The requirements:

* Your blog should be indexed in the SEs and should be atleast 3 months old

* You should have an archive with atleast 2 post a week ratio

* The usual, no hate, adult, kind of blogs.

Something that everyone would like to know

How does my page rank affect my income?
Smorty has a unique blogger ranking system. There are two factors affecting your income, firstly, if you have a higher Google Page Rank you will be offered higher paying campaigns as well as the lower paid campaigns. This will start at $6 and go up to around $60 for some campaigns. Secondly, Smorty’s calculates it’s own smart score system, it’s created by combining the following factors 1) Googles PageRank, 2) Alexa Rankings, 3) Return rate of given tasks 4) Approval/Decline ratio of completed tasks and 5) Number of completed tasks. If you have a higher Smorty score, you are more likely to receive more campaign offers and more higher priced campaigns. You can earn up to even $100 per article on some occasions.

At the moment Smorty might not be pouring with opportunities but I have made $5 - $20 per week with my lesser blogs (I guess if you are not lazy like me and check the opportunities more frequently you can make more).

But nevertheless having a decent PR help. (For me a decent PR would be starting at a PR3)

But don’t worry, for one thing I can guarantee is that as soon as you are approved you will have atleast three opportunities worth a total of $18 USD.

Also, please note that you will only see the opportunities that are available to you in your dashboard.

Some additional things to remember once you are a member
* You get paid weekly via Paypal

* No disclosure required

* You review should contain atleast 150 words and should not exceed 400 words.

So keeping with the rules, I end here. ;-)

I recommend that you join them: Sign up for Smorty

Not going to make million but a few extra bucks paid weekly sure helps.

Payperpost has just today updated their TOS and have change the minimum age requirement for approving new blogs into their system.

Now a blog can participate in their scheme if they are just 30 days (1 month) old.

Minimum Blog Age. Blogs must be live for a minimum of thirty (30) days, counted from the date of the blog’s first post, with at least ten (10) pre-existing posts written in the 30 days prior to registration with the PayPerPost Marketplace.

This I guess will be a big relief for people who are new to blogging and wanted to use Pay Per Post for make an extra buck with their blogging skills.

So if you always wanted to know how to support your blogging and at the same time make money online, then this is definitely one of the best schemes out there.
